Aspiring Teacher

On Feb.17, I went to my cooperating school together with my group mates.That day was the general demonstration of the interns. I had my observation to Ms.Lea with my co-observer and also Prof.Escleto. Ms. Lea prepared a lot of devices that suited to her lesson,but during the discussion some of the students were not listening some of their were playing.So that she loud her voice to get the attention of the pupils.
Because of this demonstration I got some idea on what kind of devices I need to prepare, on how to conduct a demonstration teaching, especially on how to manage the class.

The teacher molds the students

On February 11, I had my observation again together with my groupmates. when we arrived there we proceed immediately to our assigned room. My cooperating teacher who is Mrs. Norada was not inside the room,only the intern who is Ms.Lea. Then a few minutes Mrs.Norada came and she gave an activity to the students. She asked Ms. Lea to conduct the activity.But some of the students were playing inside the room,so that Ms.Lea gave an instructions to read the activity.When she noticed that some students were not listening,she said that she did not allow the students to go who are not cooperating to the whole class.The same as the strategy of Mrs. Norada, because if she did not do that the students will not follow.While I am watching them I realized that being a teacher is not easy,because in that field you will encounter different kinds of attitude of the students.

That day I had my observation again together with my group mates. The principal brought us to our assigned room. I assigned in grade 1 students then I introduced myself to them. While I am talking one of the students said "palakpakan" then his classmates were clap their hands and also their teacher. After that, the teacher continued her discussion. The students were always standing and playing inside the room, then the teacher said that " no one will leave in this room if you were not listening"the students stopped playing and standing. But after a minute the students back again to their businesses.
After the class we cleaned the room before we leave.

Local demonstratoin

Last Tuesday we started our first observation in DON GREGORIO C. YUMUL SR. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. That day one 4th year students conducted her local demonstration.When I watched her demo I noticed that she had a lot of visual materials that she prepared before that day. I enjoyed watching her and I got some idea how to conduct a demonstration. After her local demo the principal told us to proceed to her office. Mrs. Tan gave her comments about her demo and also our leader. She congratulated the 4th year student who conducted a demo. I learned something from the principal while she was giving her comments and she adviced us to start practice ourselves how to conduct a demo.
